BRMC's Cultural Competency Training supports participants to better understand how culture shapes perspectives, communication, and access to services.

The training recognises culture as dynamic and influenced by lived experience, background, and the systems people work within.

Sessions follow a structured learning journey that builds awareness, attitudes, knowledge, and skills, with a strong focus on application to everyday practice. Training is grounded in cultural humility and encourages reflection, curiosity, and ongoing learning rather than a one-off notion of competence.

Activities

  • Facilitated training sessions delivered online or face-to-face
  • Interactive activities, reflection, and group discussion
